Asking for coverage options is a great idea and shows that you want to have the correct insurance for your work vehicle. 1. Collision coverage. This covers damage to your work vehicle if you are involved in an accident caused by you. This is not a standard coverage and must be requested. If you opt out, any damage that you or an employee causes to the vehicle at fault, may not be covered.
2. Comprehensive coverage. This is another popular optional coverage which covers your work vehicle in incidents that aren’t a collision. Some examples include vandalism, theft or a fire.
3. Depreciation waiver. Many contractors in Mississauga purchase brand new trucks which are very expensive. They also depreciate heavily in the first two years. This coverage removes that depreciation for the first 24 months and if an accident happens where your truck is a write-off, the insurance company will give you the cost you paid for the vehicle. 
4. OPCF 27B. Personal vehicles use OPCF 27 which extends collision and comprehensive coverage to rental vehicles. Commercial vehicles have a similar coverage option for their work vehicle.
